Youth Brass Band "Strażak" from Wojkowice Kościelne was founded in 1991 both of the then parish-priest's Edward Wiciński and the Chairman's of OSP /voluntary fire brigade/ Jan Landecki suggestion. Józef Marczyński is the conductor. The orchestra co-operates with Dom Kultury in Siewierz.

The band takes part in the church and occasional ceremonies in commune Siewierz as well as in Silesian province. It has taken part in reviews of fire orchestras, e.g. in Jawiszowice, Wolbrom, Chorzów, Lelów, Sławków and in The European Music Festival in Zawiercie.

In 1999 the orchestra entertained at their house The Giuseppe Verdi Band from Italy. In 2000 the band visited Italy and played many concerts in Cicagna, Gattorno and during general audience given by the Pope John Paul II in Vatican.

In March 2002 the band was awarded with "Kasztelanka" Prize established by the Foreman of Będzin District.

In May 2003 the band played in Siewierz during information meeting about European Union.

In 2004 the band took the 3rd place in The District Fire Brass Bands Review in Będzin, and in the following 2005 they won the contest.
In May 2006 the band took part in already the III Review and won again.
